Epitope Mapping

Epitope mapping

In Epitope mapping, it is the antigen sequence that is subjected to all the single mutations. All the variants are expressed on the surface of cells and the effect of each of them for one or more target antibodies can be evaluated.

This approach allows

  • To precisely define the epitope recognized by an antibody, to the nearest amino acid.
  • To achieve economies of scale in the context of epitope mapping of several leads (+/- 10 antibodies).
  • To obtain results in a very short time (4 to 6 weeks).
